Inquiry #5: Caltrans currently has three projects along the Highway 580 corridor out to bid:
04-2908C4, 04-2908V4, and 04-2908E4
Construction on these contracts will be concurrent with each other. Caltrans is bidding each of these under the A+B format. Due to the likelihood that the work on each these projects will impact the work on the adjacent projects, shouldn’t these project be bid under the standard (non-A+B) working day format?

Inquiry #31: On sheet E-86 there are 10 loops (approx. 676+50) to be installed with a Note (1A) designation (Part of Permanent work installed under temporary phase). The permanent loops in this location are shown on sheet E-39. In this case, the loops shown on the temporary plan should remain as part of the permanent however, with the lane configuration change and the addition of a median shoulder, the new loops (and pull box) on sheet E-39 are no longer in the same position as the loops (and pull box) shown as (1A) permanent on the temporary plans. Therefore, it appears that the loops in this location will actually need to be installed both under the temporary work and the permanent work.
