Inquiry #5: Section 76-7.03H-Incompletion of Wells states that "If your operations do not allow the well to be completed as described, destroy the well under the Ordinance of Kern County and 22CA Code of Regs 64560.5."

"After destroying the well, move the drilling operation a short distance and drill another well. The Engineer must authorize the location."

Section 76-7.04A (Payment) Well Investigation states; "Well investigation is measured and paid per linear foot."

Question:
1) If initial well drilling is not successful as described, will the contractor be paid for completed work by Bid Item #24-Well Investigation?
2) Will all subsequent attempts to drill a successful well also be paid for by Item #24-Well Investigation?
3) If a well is not successful and must be destroyed as indicated, what bid item pays for destroying this well?

Inquiry #10: Plan Sheet W-5 (Addendum #01) Note: #3 states; " Existing Fence and Concrete Pad to Remain."

However, Plan Sheet W-6, note at the lower left corner states; "Concrete Slab (26' long x 15.5' wide) see Note 2."

Note 2 on sheet W-6 states; "For concrete slab reinforcement information, see Sheet W-8."

Please advise if the existing concrete slab is to be demolished and a new slab per details on Sheet W-8 is to be constructed.
