Inquiry #1: The spec for the slurry seal reads to use a continuous self-loading mixing machine.Would the State consider changing to the use of truck mount slurry machines instead?

Response #2:No. Particularly on the travelled way and shoulders.

Contractor may use truck mounted slurry machines only on these locations:
1. Radii
2. Side streets
3. Gore areas
4. Areas requiring hand work

Inquiry #2: The specs only allow a 0.2 mile closure for the reversing traffic control on the project. This does not allow the contractor to be efficient with a truck mount or a continuous machine. All this will do is increase the cost and days of production of the project do to all of the downtime that the crews will have. Would the state consider lengthening the closure?
