Each year, Caltrans’ Excellence in Transportation Awards Program highlights the best work of Caltrans and its partners. This year, Caltrans received nearly 100 entries from Caltrans staff, local and public agencies, private contractors and consultants across the state.
These 13 award-winning projects helped improve California’s transportation system, from highways to a bike and pedestrian trailhead. They also made environmental and safety improvements, brought community enhancements and increased public awareness.
Many people worked hard to make these projects a reality, and Caltrans is pleased to showcase these projects that have met California’s growing transportation demands while protecting and enhancing the environment.
