SAN BERNARDINO – In the latest Caltrans News Flash, Caltrans uses a 1 mega-watt solar farm to reduce energy consumption at its LEED "Gold certified" traffic management center in Fontana. The solar facility is the largest in Caltrans and reduces demand on the local power grid by approximately two-thirds.
The United States Green Building Council ranks the State of California as the nationwide leader in “green building” and LEED certification.
