Passive Embedded Chloride Threshold Sensors
The Purpose of this project is to build a passive, bridge-deck-embedded, wireless, sensor to transmit chloride ingress data to bridge inspectors. Embedded sensors offer a more rapid and cost-effective inspection technique than the current core-sampling method. Better data on bridge-deck health will facilitate prioritization of bridge-deck maintenance, and ultimately reduction of lifecycle costs.
