NEW FACILITY FEATURES STATE-OF-THE-ART ENERGY AND WATER SAVINGS
OAKLAND – This summer, Caltrans opened its new maintenance building which houses the men and women who keep the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge in top operating condition. The state-of-the-art building achieves remarkable levels of energy efficiency and low water usage.
In this News Flash, Caltrans provides an overview of the new building, and highlights the innovative design features and technology the department incorporated into the facility and the surrounding drought-resistant landscaping.
