The California Transportation Foundation (CTF) is pleased to announce the application period for the annual $5,000 CTF Heckeroth Scholarship. Applicants must be recipients of a 2010 CTF scholarship as a graduating high school senior and must have successfully completed their freshman year at a college/university with a major leading to a possible career in transportation. Proof of enrollment as a sophomore in the Fall 2011 term is an application prerequisite. The scholarship is competitive and based on the applicant’s commitment to a career in transportation, current achievements and academic record. Financial need may be considered, but is not a primary factor.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Must be a United States citizen, permanent resident, or documented international student.
2. Must have received a 2010 CTF Scholarship as a graduating high school senior.
3. Must have successfully completed college freshman year of 2010/2011 study and be enrolled as a sophomore in the 2011 fall term.
4. Must plan to pursue a career in transportation after graduation.
