1 OBJECTIVE, COLORS, MATERIALS AND PART NUMBERS
1.1 Fleet Identification Objective
Use standard colors, decals, shapes and stripes applied in a manner that is uniform enough to create an image recognized by all who see Caltrans equipment. Specific application details vary by class of equipment, model year and manufacturer. The Division of Equipment shall provide final approval for each model, manufacturer and type of equipment. 1.2 Caltrans Standard Colors
Caltrans standard colors are: Orange, White and Black. Orange color is applied in the form of reflective striping. White and black colors are applied in the form of paint or coatings.

1.5 Application of Stripes and Decals
Decals and stripes should be placed on metal whenever possible. Decals and stripes shall be fitted in a professional manner with no wrinkles, creases or air bubbles.
