Before You Start This course is best viewed at a screen resolution of 1024 x 768. Because the course includes animation with audio, we strongly recommend that you access the course over a high-speed Internet connection. You can use a dial-up connection, but may experience download delays. It's time to test your system's sound settings and ability to play Flash files via your browser. then adjust your volume settings and check whether your speakers are

Who Should Take This Course?Resident Engineers This online course is a prerequisite for attending the two-day DRB Administration Workshop (available for Caltrans employees only). How's the Course Presented?An animated story, set in the old West, illustrates the DRB process and operation. Now, take a look at the interface you'll be using.
The Back and Next buttons are used throughout the course to move to the next or previous page. Please note that when viewing an interactive exercise, the Back and Next buttons are hidden until the exercise is successfully completed. The Progress Bar appears with each animated scene and can be clicked on at any point to move forward or back through the animation. The Play and Pause buttons allow you to pause and resume each animated scene at your leisure. A drop-down menu is located in the upper-left hand corner. To access the menu, move your cursor over the word Menu and the options will slide into view as shown below.
