Program Overview

As the direct recipient of Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funds, the DMT's Procurement Management is responsible for ensuring that all purchases using FTA grant funds comply with federal statutes and regulations including, but not limited, to the following: 2 CFR Part 200 Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards, FTA Master Agreement; and FTA Circular 4220.1F Third Party Contracting Guidance.

In addition to compliance oversight the procurement program provides public agencies and private non-profit organizations with the opportunity to purchase transit vehicles at the lowest possible price. Purchases through DMT are in full compliance with federal and State procurement requirements. State Vehicle Contracts are available for the purchase of ADA compliant low floor minivans, cutaway vehicles, and medium duty transit buses.
