CALTRANS DISTRICT 6 - MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING FOR STATE ROUTE 180 PROJECT, 06-342514

July 28, 2009

The Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will provide the opportunity for Small Businesses and Disadvantaged Businesses to meet the Prime Contractors wishing to bid on the project. The Caltrans project is for State Route 180, a 4-lane Concrete Pavement Expressway, in the County of Fresno, from Temperance Avenue to Quality Avenue (just east of Academy Avenue). The meeting starts at 9:00 am and is located at the Fresno Fair Grounds, Industrial Education Building, 1121 S. Chance Ave, Fresno, CA 93702.

3rd Annual Business Matchmaking Event

August 14, 2009    REGRETTABLY THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED

The City of Fresno, partnering with Caltrans and a number of other agencies, are hosting the 3rd Annual Business Matchmaking Event on August 14th at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center. This is an excellent opportunity for the small business owner to gain exposure with various large business buyers. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided at the event.

Caltrans goal is to exceed the 25% mandate for utilization of certified small businesses, and 5% with Disabled Veterans Business Enterprises (DVBE) for all contracting and purchases.

  1. Must be independently owned and operated;
  2. Can not be dominant in its field of operations;
  3. Must have its principal office located in California;
  4. Must have its owners (or officers in the case of a corporation) domiciled in California; and
  5. Together with your affiliates, be either:
    • A business with 100 or fewer employees, and an average annual gross receipts of $12 million or less over the previous three tax years, or
    • A manufacturer with 100 or fewer employees.
