State Route 41
State Route 41 – Sunflower II Project
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will continue with full closures and partial closures (single-lane only) on State Route 41 in Kings, Kern and San Luis Obispo Counties. Construction on this project is expected to complete in Fall of 2008.
This 10 mile project will overlay, add shoulders and improve the sight distance throughout the project. In Kern County this project will overlay 5 miles of road and add standard shoulders. In Kings County the project will raise the grade five feet above the current alignment, out of flood risk and add standard shoulders. In San Luis Obispo County, this project will provide substantial earthwork benefit for a project which will be starting construction in July 2007.
