Q3) Please provide the Wiring Plans & Diagrams that should of been submitted for this project per section 20-5.027B of the State Standard Specifications. The Cost Break-Down has a quantity of 6300 LF, significantly less than our calculations.
A3) Per Standard Specifications, 20-5.027B Wiring Plans and Diagrams the contractor is to provide the wiring plans and diagrams. If all the wire is replaced for the entire length of replacement shown on the plans the quantity on the cost breakdown is significantly less, however we estimate that the actual length of wire damaged requiring replacement will be less than the 6300 LF listed on the cost breakdown. Bid per the Special Provisions Cost break-down. Special Provisions shall govern over plans per Standard Specifications 5-1.04. 9May11
Q4) Plans call for us to install Caltrans provided controllers into existing cabinets. What requirement is there for initialization/turn-on for these controllers? Will they be pre-programmed and ready to plug-in and run?
