Redwood Creek/Maacama Creek Bridge Replacement

Starting in June, 2010, Caltrans will begin building two new bridges on State Highway 128 in Sonoma County. The new bridges will replace the existing Redwood Creek and Maacama Creek Bridges.

Each new bridge will conform to modern design standards. Both will have two twelve-foot wide lanes and eight-foot wide shoulders.

In order to accommodate the construction of the new bridges, traffic on the existing bridges will be reduced to one lane in each direction. The one-way traffic control will be in place 24 hours a day for a period of about two years, starting June 9, 2010. In addition, one-way traffic control will also be implemented along Highway 128 at various times.
