LANE AND RAMP CLOSURES ON ROUTE 242
TO OPEN NEW SOUTHBOUND LANE IN CONCORD
Starting tonight, January 29th, and continuing through Friday night, February 2nd, Caltrans construction crews will be closing various lanes of southbound Route 242 in Concord between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., for the purpose of removing the existing striping from the centerline.
On Friday and Saturday nights the three on-ramps at Olivera Road, Grant Street, and Market Street/Clayton Road to southbound Route 242 and the Gregory Lane/Monument Boulevard off-ramp will be closed between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. for striping removal.
On Sunday, February 4th, various lanes and ramps will be closed in the southbound direction of Route 242 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., for the purpose of completing the permanent roadway striping. These closures are necessary for the opening of the new southbound lane, weather permitting.
All lane closures and detours will be clearly marked to advise motorists. Traffic delays are anticipated and use of alternate routes is advised, when possible. For more information, call TravInfo at 817-1717.
