HIGHWAY 101 REPAVING WORK SET TO BEGIN IN LARKSPUR
A project to repave and raise the roadway surface on Highway 101 at Lucky Drive in Larkspur will begin later this week, Caltrans officials have announced.
Crews will overlay a ¼ mile section of the freeway in both directions with asphalt concrete, raising the surface grade by one foot. This will improve the roadway surface and allow for better drainage of standing water on the highway that occurs during heavy rains.
The contractor for the $680,000 project is Bauman Landscaping Co. of Richmond.
Construction will be done primarily during overnight hours Monday through Friday from 9 pm until 5 am southbound and 9 pm until 7 am northbound in order to avoid traffic impacts. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of October.
All lane closures will be clearly marked to advise motorists who may experience minor delays during this work. For additional traffic information, call TravInfo @ 817-1717.
