I-80 Project Map

    The purpose of this project is to:
  • Provide congestion relief in order to improve traffic flow on the regional transportation system.
  • Promote the use of high occupancy vehicles, such as carpools, vanpools and transit.
  • Provide greater connectivity with the existing and proposed bus/carpool network in the Sacramento region, and help achieve the goals of the Sacramento Area Council of Governments 2006 Metropolitan Transportation Plan.
