The Traffic Operational Improvements Branch
(Hit Squad) has the primary task of
developing operational projects on freeway corridors in the District. Our current
assignments include adding auxiliary lanes and capacity to the I-15 corridor, with
an emphasis on accelerated delivery of our projects. The projects assigned to this
branch are considered some of the District's highest priorities as they support the
future
I-15 Managed Lane concept
and provide relief to traffic congestion in the
San Diego region. The assigned projects are completed "at-risk" through all phases
of Project Development, i.e. from the Project Study Report/Project Report phase through PS&E.
