“Steer Clear of 67” Weekend Closure of Southbound SR-67 in Lakeside
SAN DIEGO –– Construction crews will close southbound State Route 67 (SR-67) from Mapleview Street to Riverford Road from 10 p.m. on Friday, April 15 until 5 a.m. on Monday, April 18. Motorists can expect significant delays and are urged to avoid the area.
The closure is needed for the County of San Diego’s - Woodside Avenue Flood Control Project. Construction includes the placement of a large box culvert under SR-67 that requires excavation of the roadway.
During this time, the southbound on-ramps from Mapleview Street and Winter Gardens Boulevard to SR-67 will be closed to traffic. The southbound on-ramp at Riverford Road will remain open.
During the closure traffic will be detoured off of southbound SR-67 at Mapleview Street. Heading west, traffic will turn right on Channel Road, travel along Lakeside Avenue and continue onto Riverside Drive, turn left onto Riverford Road, to southbound Riverford Road entrance ramp to SR-67.
Signs will be placed to assist motorists through the detour.
