I-5 Ocean View Rehab Project Work Continues
SAN DIEGO –The Interstate 5 (I-5) Ocean View Rehab Project Construction resumes Monday to replace portions of pavement between Oceanside and the San Diego-Orange County Line.
Sections of I-5 will be closed to one lane in each direction, Monday-Thursday, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and Friday, from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. The closures include the on- and off-ramps at Las Pulgas Road, with intermittent closures of the ramps at Basilone and Cristianitos roads.
Motorists are reminded that the maximum speed through a construction zone is 55 mph. These limits are set for the safety of motorists and for the work crews.
The $43 million I-5 Ocean View Rehab Project is expected to be completed in winter 2016. Motorists should expect delays during work hours and it is suggested they check Caltrans Quick Map online at quickmap.dot.ca.gov for the latest freeway traffic information before leaving home.
