I-5 Ocean View Rehab Project Planned Closures March 16-21
SAN DIEGO – Construction on the Interstate 5 (I-5) Ocean View Rehab Project between the Aliso Creek Rest Area and the San Diego-Orange County line will continue on Monday. Motorist can expect delays while travelling through the work zone.
This work will close down traffic lanes to one lane in each direction in sections, Monday-Thursday, 7:30 p.m.-5 a.m., and Friday, 9 p.m.-8 a.m.
The northbound Las Pulgas Road or Basilone Road on- and off-ramps, and the southbound Las Pulgas Road on- and off-ramps will also be closed Monday through Saturday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. No two consecutive ramps will be closed at any time.
Motorists are reminded that the maximum speed through this construction zone is 55 mph. These limits are set for the safety of motorists and the men and women working adjacent to traffic.
The $43 million I-5 Ocean View Rehab Project is expected to be completed this fall.
