Weekday Closures Coming for SR-905/La Media Road
SAN DIEGO – The westbound State Route 905 off-ramp to La Media Road will be closed weekdays for two weeks starting Tuesday, according to Caltrans.
Closures will take place 6 a.m.-5 p.m. through Friday, Sept. 18. The closures are needed for demolition and construction of a slope involving concrete and decorative rock. It is part of the State Route 11/Otay Mesa East Port of Entry Project.
Signs will be placed detouring motorists to Britannia Boulevard north to Otay Mesa Road east to La Media Road.
Motorists may all so travel south on Britannia Boulevard to Airway Road east to la Media Road.
The State Route 11/Otay Mesa East Port of Entry Project began construction in December 2014 and will help relieve traffic congestion and shorten wait times at the Otay Mesa and San Ysidro ports of entry. The cost of Segment One is about $103 million. The project will be completed at the end of the year.
Project information is available on the Caltrans website at www.dot.ca.gov/dist11/facts.
