Closures Planned on SR-905
SAN DIEGO – State Route 905 will be partially closed in both directions between La Media and Siempre Viva Roads on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The eastbound on and off ramps at La Media Road will also be closed as construction crews place concrete barriers as part of construction on the State Route 11/Otay Mesa East Port of Entry Project.
Motorists can expect traffic delays while traveling in the area. Caltrans crews will post signs in advance alerting motorist about the ramp closures.
The completed project will help relieve traffic congestion and shorten wait times at the Otay Mesa and San Ysidro Ports of Entry. The cost of the first segment is $112 million and is expected to be completed in 2015.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and safely move over a lane when Caltrans or other emergency vehicles are displaying flashing amber lights. It’s the law!
