Eastbound SR-76 at I-5 Closed for Sunday Morning Work

SAN DIEGO – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close eastbound State Route 76 (SR-76) from Interstate 5 (I-5) to Benet Road early Sunday morning for emergency pavement work. Crews will also close the connector ramps from both south and northbound I-5. The closure begins at 12:01 a.m. and ends at 8 a.m.

Motorists traveling on northbound I-5 will be detoured to eastbound Oceanside Boulevard, to northbound Rancho Del Oro Drive, then eastbound on SR-76. Motorists on southbound I-5 and eastbound SR-76 will be detoured to eastbound Mission Avenue, to northbound Foussat Road, to eastbound SR-76.

Changeable Message Signs will be placed in advance of the work and detour signs will be placed to assist motorists around the closure.
