Access to State Route 76 Limited for Night Work
SAN DIEGO – State Route 76 between East Vista Way and Olive Hill Road will be closed for three consecutive nights beginning Tuesday, according to the California Department of Transportation. The highway will be closed from 9:30 p.m. - 4 a.m. for bridge work.
Local residents will have limited access to SR-76 using Olive Hill Road. Other vehicles needing access to Interstate 15 will be detoured to East Vista Way then left Ornsby Street/Gohper Canyon Road and travel east to the I-15 on-ramps.
The work is part of the SR-76 Middle Segment Project to widen and realign the highway to four lanes between Melrose Drive to South Mission Road. The project is scheduled to be completed in Dec. 2012.
Crews will place detour signs to assist motorists around the closures.
