Southbound I-15 Connector Ramp to I-8 Closed Tonight for Emergency Work
SAN DIEGO – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close the connector ramp from northbound Interstate 15 to eastbound and westbound I-8 tonight from 10 to midnight. Caltrans will be working with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) to remove a semi-truck that was involved in an accident last night.
CHP determined it would be safer to remove the truck tonight then to try to remove it during last night’s heavy rains.
Motorists will be detoured to the westbound Friars Road off-ramp then back onto southbound I-15 to either eastbound or westbound I-8
Signs will be placed to alert motorists in advance of the closures.
