Southbound Interstate 15 On-ramp from Mercy Road/Scripps Poway Parkway Temporarily Closed
SAN DIEGO – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announced that the on-ramps from westbound Ted Williams Parkway and eastbound State Route 56 to southbound Interstate 15 will be closed Friday at 10 p.m. and reopen Monday at 5 a.m. In addition, the SR-56 entrance to the southbound I-15 Express Lanes will also be closed during this time.
Motorists traveling to I-15 south from westbound Ted Williams Parkway will be detoured south on Sabre Springs Parkway to west on Poway Road, and onto southbound I-15. Motorists traveling to I-15 south from eastbound SR-56 will be detoured south on Black Mountain Road to east on Mercy Road and onto southbound I-15. Detour signs will be posted to direct motorists around the closures.
This weekend closure is necessary to pave the ramps without disrupting the weekday commute. This work is part of the ongoing I-15 Express Lanes project.
