Southbound Interstate 15 On-ramp from Mercy Road/Scripps Poway Parkway Temporarily Closed
SAN DIEGO – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announced today that the southbound Interstate 15 (I-15) on-ramp from Mercy Road/Scripps Poway Parkway will be closed for four days starting Wednesday at 9 p.m. and reopening by 5 a.m. on Monday.
Two detour options will be provided to motorists traveling to southbound I-15 from Mercy Road/Scripps Poway Parkway. The first option will direct motorists to travel north on I-15 to west on Rancho Penasquitos Boulevard onto southbound I-15. An alternate detour will direct motorists to travel west on Mercy Road/Scripps Poway Parkway to south on Black Mountain Road to east on Mira Mesa Boulevard onto southbound I-15. Detour signs will be posted to direct motorists.
This closure is necessary to complete reconstruction of the on-ramp as part of the ongoing I-15 Express Lanes project. For more information on the I-15 Express Lanes project, call the project information hotline at (866) 890-1397 or log-on to www.KeepSanDiegoMoving.com.
