Northbound Interstate 15 Set for Closure at Carroll Canyon Road
SAN DIEGO – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announced today that construction on the Carroll Canyon Road bridge over Interstate 15 (I-15) will continue on Tuesday requiring the closure of northbound I-15 in the area from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. for approximately three nights.
Motorists traveling north on I-15 will be detoured around the bridge by exiting at the Carroll Canyon Road off-ramp and crossing Carroll Canyon Road onto northbound I-15.
Carroll Canyon Road at I-15 will also be closed during this time. Motorists traveling east on Carroll Canyon Road will be detoured north on Black Mountain Road to east on Mira Mesa Boulevard to south on Scripps Ranch Boulevard onto eastbound Carroll Canyon Road. Motorists traveling west on Carroll Canyon Road will be detoured north on Scripps Ranch Boulevard to west on Mira Mesa Boulevard to south on Black Mountain Road onto westbound Carroll Canyon Road. Detour signs will be in place to direct motorists around the closures.
Construction work may cause noise in the surrounding areas but must be done at night in order to minimize disruptions to traffic. For more information on the I-15 Express Lanes project, call the project information hotline at (866) 890-1397 or log-on to www.KeepSanDiegoMoving.com.
