Apparent Low Bid for State Route 7 Asphalt Overlay Project
SAN DIEGO – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announced today that preventative maintenance involving an overlay of rubberized asphalt will soon begin along State Route 7 from about seven miles east of Calexico from the International Border Crossing to State Route 98.
An apparent low bid of $1.26 million was submitted by the Hazard Construction Company of San Diego. Caltrans will review the bid to insure that all requirements are met. When approved, work on the project could begin as soon as February and is expected to be completed before summer.# # # #
