community planning liaison
The Community Planning Liaison serves as a resource for improving project delivery through early and continuous involvement with community stakeholders (agencies, planning groups and individuals). The liaison seeks to include community values and involvement early in the planning, design, and project implementation stages.
The Community Planning Liaison coordinates, participates and contributes ideas in community planning workshops; serves as a public participation and environmental justice resource to Caltrans staff; develops stakeholder databases; performs community and agency outreach; assists in administering the Transportation Planning Grant Program; promotes and encourages Liveable Communities and Smart Growth strategies; and works with the Development Review Branch in reviewing and commenting on planning documents to integrate the above stated goals and concepts.
