The Planning Division of District 11 serves a critical role for our Department and the State in the development of a long-term transportation vision which supports our other Divisions in areas of project selection, project delivery, and system operations. On a daily basis, staff collects and presents data, analyzes alternatives, drafts plans and strategies to guide and protect the State’s transportation investments. Through these activities the Planning Division is responsible for coordinating with all appropriate stakeholders and regional partners.

The Planning Division is a leader in the transportation field, working in partnership with others to ensure an open and equitable process while acting as a bridge between Caltrans' regional partner/stakeholders and our internal operations.
