the needs of the Contractors who bid on our Projects. Caltrans District
11 Construction Department will post all of the questions submitted by
any of the contractors that are registered Planholders for that
Contract,
but reserves the right to not answer any questions deemed
unsatisfactory
for public viewing.

Reference= Item 14 Screenings, Section 10-1-18 Screenings gradation,

Question= The special
provisions for this contract specifically at Section 10-1-18, contains
an out of date specification. There have been many improvements
implemented over the last several years which are reflected in NSSP
37-030 E A05-01-06 including but not limited to cover aggregate size,
paving grade asphalt type, CRM content, etc. It is our firms suggestion
that the above referenced NSSP should be utilized for this project.

AND CRASH BARRELS MANDITORY GIVEN THE FACT THE COLD PLANE IS 2 INCH
DEPTH MAX AND THAT IS ONLY IN A COUPLE OF SMALL AREAS.
