BIDDER'S INQUIRY FORMAT


Caltrans District 11 Construction Department has developed this method of answering Bidder's Inquiries to better serve the needs of the Contractors who bid on our Projects. Only when stated in the Special Provisions will contracts have posted INQUIRIES AND RESPONSES.
The BIDDER'S INQUIRIES & RESPONSES will be updated continuously and all attempts will be made to do the final posting by 15:00 on
Wednesday prior to the bid opening.
Caltrans District 11 Construction Department will post all of the questions submitted by any of the contractors that are registered Planholders for that Contract, but reserves the right to not answer any questions deemed unsatisfactory for public viewing.

  • No, bid as shown in the plans any adjustment will be made in accordance with Section 4-1.03 of the Standard Specifications.

Plan Sheet / Specification Reference=Prevailing Wage Rates

Federal Prevailing Wage Rate for "Final Clean-Up And Landscape Maintenance Work" shown on General Decision #CA000001 12/22/00 and also California Prevailing Wage Rate for "Group 5 Laborer". Can these classifications be used during Plant Establishment (maintenance)?

  • Yes, Laborer Group 5 (State Prev. Wages) - Labor (Final Clean-up and Landscape Maintenance Work) is the appropriate classification to use during the plant establishment period. The higher of the two rates should be used, which is presently $15.34/hour.
