Willits Bypass - Final Environmental Impact Statement / Environmental Impact Report, October 2006
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) propose to construct a new segment of U.S. 101 that will bypass the City of Willits, in Mendocino County, California. The Final Environmental Impact Statement/Environmental Impact Report (FEIS/EIR) has been completed and consists of four volumes, as follows:
- Volume 1 contains the text and appendices of the FEIS/EIR (which includes Chapters 1 through 7, and Appendices A through O).
- Volume 2 contains responses to all comments received from federal, state, and local agencies and organizations, as well as the general public, on the May 2002 Draft EIS/EIR (DEIS/EIR), during the public comment period.
- Volume 3 contains the text and appendices of the May 2002 DEIS/EIR (originally circulated as DEIS/EIR Volume 1). Text changes to the DEIS/EIR, which include strikethroughs and underlines to indicate changes made in response to comments on the DEIS/EIR, have been inserted in the front of this volume. These text changes supersede and/or clarify the information contained in the May 2002 DEIS/EIR.
- Volume 4 contains the Environmental Map Atlas that accompanied the May 2002 DEIS/EIR (originally circulated as DEIS/EIR Volume 2).
A full printed copy of the Final EIS/EIR may be purchased for $95.00. Requests should be made to Jeremy Ketchum,
