Salmon Creek/Albion River Bridge Replacement
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to replace the Albion River and Salmon Creek Bridges, and realign the roadway from 0.6 miles south of Salmon Creek Bridge to 0.6 miles north of Albion River Bridge on Route 1 in Mendocino County near the town of Albion.
This project is needed because both bridges are reaching the end of their service life. Design features include separated walkways to accommodate pedestrians on both bridges and wider shoulders to improve vehicle and bicycle safety.
