February 2005 update: Addressing safety and congestion problems within the Prunedale Corridor continues to be the highest priority for Caltrans and TAMC in Monterey County. Because of this, work efforts for the next 4 to 5 years will be focused on the timely delivery of the first phase of the corridor solution called the Prunedale Improvement Project (PIP). The PIP project proposes significant safety and operational improvements. Work on the second phase of the corridor solution which addresses congestion relief, will occur as funding becomes available over the next 20 years.
