Description

• Replace the existing steel bridge built in 1948 with a new bridge with standard 12-foot traffic lanes and 8-foot shoulders.
• Replace the existing viaduct with a new facility featuring standard 12-foot traffic lanes and 8-foot shoulders.
• Construct 8- to 14-foot shoulders on State Route 162 through Butte City in Glenn County.

Project Benefits

This project will preserve and extend the useful life of the existing roadway throughout the project limits and to replace the existing Sacramento River Bridge and viaduct to meet current design standards.

Estimated Total Project Cost - $110 million

Environmental Clearance: June 2019
Design Completion: January 2021
Begin Construction: February 2022
Finish Construction: December 2026
