Lane Closures on State Routes 99, 132, & Interstate 5

Stanislaus County The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform lane closures on State Route 99 (SR-99), State Route 132 (SR-132), and Interstate 5 (I-5).  Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

 

State Route 99

  • Overnight, alternating lane closures on northbound SR-99 between Crows Landing Road and Tuolumne Boulevard in Modesto for construction work beginning Sunday, May 5, through Friday, May 10, 2024, from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
  • Alternating lane closures on the southbound SR-99 on/off ramps to Second Street and North Street in Ceres for a spray operation on Monday, May 6, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

 

State Route 132

  • Alternating lane closures between Reinway Avenue and F Street/Hickman in Waterford for construction work beginning Monday, May 6, through Friday, May 10, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
  • Overnight, lane shift on westbound and eastbound SR-132 between I Street and Santa Fe Avenue in Empire for utility work beginning Sunday, May 5, through Friday, May 10, 2024, from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

 

Interstate 5

  • Closure of the #2 (right) lane of northbound I-5 between Simon Newman overcrossing and Crows Creek for a crack seal operation on Monday, May 6, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • Closure of the #2 (right) lane of southbound I-5 from the Merced County line to 2.5 miles north for a crack seal operation beginning Tuesday, May 7, through Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • Closure of the #2 (right) lane of southbound I-5 from Shiells Road to the Vista Point for an accident investigation on Friday, May 10, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

 

Motorists should expect 5 to 10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.  This work is scheduled to take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.
