Transporting a 450,000 lbs Oil Drum

Hauling heavy equipment such as the Oil Drum shown in the photograph on the left illustrates Caltrans' involvement in safely transporting industrial equipment. The drum weighed 225 tons and the dimensions were 157 ft long, 20 ft wide and 23 ft high. It was moved from Los Angles Harbor to Torrence, CA.
