You CAN get around Santa Barbara without a car. From the station, halfway between Stearns Wharf and downtown, you can take taxis, Santa Barbara transit, bicyles -- or maybe just use your feet -- to see all that Santa Barbara has to offer.
You can even visit Mission Santa Barbara without a car. Take MTB route 22 from the Transit Center. Transit Center is located in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara, a short shuttle ride from the Century old, newly restored Amtrak Station!
