All Amtrak Service to/from San Francisco is by motor coach across the Oakland Bay Bridge.  Because of this, in addition to the main stop at the Ferry Building, Amtrak motor coaches make a number of other stops around the metropolitan San Francisco area.

 

Ferry Building (SFC)

Located in the Agricultural Building at the south end of the Ferry Building complex (101 The Embarcadero, Suite 118), opposite the foot of Mission Street. Full service ticket office, open 6 am to 11 pm daily. Checked baggage service available. Served by Muni F-Market & Wharves historic streetcar. One block to several Muni bus routes, and two blocks to BART/Muni Embarcadero station.

Financial District (SFF)

Located in front of the Hyatt Regency Hotel at California and Drumm Streets, just off Market Street. Adjacent to BART/Muni Embarcadero station. Also served by numerous Muni bus routes, the California Street cable car and F-Market & Wharves historic streetcar. Unstaffed bus stop, served by only certain Amtrak schedules.

Pier 39 (SFW)

Located at bus/taxi loading area directly in front of Pier 39 on The Embarcadero. Served by Muni F-Market & Wharves historic streetcar. Unstaffed bus stop with connections to and from all trains except 701, 702, 703 and 704.

San Francisco Shopping Centre (SFS)

Located on Market Street between 4th and 5th Streets, just east of the main entrance to the San Francisco Shopping Center. Across the street from the Powell Street Cable Car terminal, and adjacent to the BART/Muni Powell station. Also served by numerous Muni bus routes and F-Market & Wharves historic streetcar. Three blocks from the Union Square hotel district. Un-staffed bus stop with connections to and from all trains except 702 and 703.

Moscone Center (SFM)

Located at the corner of Howard and 4th Streets. Buses drop off passengers on the southwest corner, and pick up passengers on the northeast corner. Moscone Center is directly across the street from either stop. All served by several Muni bus routes. Unstaffed bus stop with connections to and from only certain trains.

Caltrain Station (SFP)

Located on Townsend Street at 4th Street, adjacent to the Caltrain Station with regional rail service to Peninsula points and San Jose. The station is also served by the Muni N-Judah light rail line, and several Muni bus routes. It is two blocks from Pacific Bell Park, home of the San Franicsco Giants. The stop is not staffed by Amtrak, however there is a Caltrain ticket office and waiting room with restrooms and concession stands. Bus connections are available to and from all trains.
