New connecting service between Arcata and Crescent City
July 18, 2005 -- Redwood Coast Transit (RCT) offers Monday through Saturday connecting service between Arcata and Crescent City. Fare to Crescent City is $20 - exact fare required. You can purchase tickets at the Arcata Transit Center and from RCT at 140 Williams Drive, Crescent City.
RCT departs the Crescent City Cultural Center at 7:30 a.m., and arrives at the Arcata Transit Center at 9:27 a.m. about an hour before Amtrak California's southbound departure (to train 718). Train 711's Northbound Amtrak bus arrives at Arcata at 4:35 p.m., and RCT departs at 5:15 p.m., arriving at Crescent City at 7:08 p.m.
