Free connections to local buses or light rail
Passengers on all three Amtrak California routes (San Joaquin, Pacifc Surfliner, and Capitol Corridor) may receive a free Transit Transfer while aboard the trains. Ask your conductor for a transfer. It allows you to continue to your final destination, and ride local transit back to station for your same day or next day return.
How to use the Transit Transfer Pass
Board one of the participating connecting services and present the transfer to the driver. That's all!Participating Transit Agencies
- AC Transit (East Bay only). Transfers from Amtrak trains to AC Transit can be made at the Richmond, Berkeley, Emeryville, Oakland, Hayward and Fremont stations.
- Benicia Transit at the Martinez station.
- The Bus (Merced County Transit) at the Merced station.
- The County Connection at the Martinez station.
- e-Tran (Elk Grove transit) at the Sacramento station.
- Fairfield Suisun Transit at the Suisun station.
- Fresno Area Express (FAX) at the Fresno station.
- The Guadalupe Flyer at the San Luis Obispo station.
- Regional Transit Authority (RTA) at the San Luis Obispo station.
- Rio Vista Transit at the Suisun station.
- Sacramento Regional Transit at the Sacramento station and to light rail at the "K" street mall. Light Rail service at the Station is expected in November 2006.
- Santa Barbara Meropolitan Transit District at the Santa Barbara station.
- SLO Transit at the San Luis Obispo station.
- South County Area Transit at the San Luis Obispo station
- Unitrans at the Davis station.
- VTA (Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority) at the Santa Clara/Great America and San Jose Diridon stations and to nearby VTA light rail.
- WestCAT buses the Martinez station.
- Yolobus at the Davis stations Yolobus service to Sacarmento Airport stops a few blocks from the Sacramento Amtak Station.
