Fares & Tickets

You can find out what our fares are, and purchase tickets your way:

1. Buy tickets and get schedule information directly from Amtrak at <http://tickets.amtrak.com>. This web friendly schedule and fare finder will help you choose the route you want and buy tickets quickly and securely. You can then get your tickets in the mail or pick them up a station near you.

2. Call Amtrak at 1-800-USA-RAIL (1-800-872-7245). "Julie"  and the rest of the helpful Amtrak team will answer all the questions you might have, and help you buy the tickets over the phone and mail them to you if that's what you wish.

3. Visit your local Amtrak station, and talk to the friendly staff. They’ll help you make the right choice, and you’ll get your tickets right then and there. Find a station near you.

4. Buy your tickets on the train. You can pay with cash or credit cards for your tickets from conductors after you board the train. If the station is unstaffed when you board the train, there is no service charge for buying tickets aboard the train.

Amtrak  introduces the "Family Reunion Planning Toolkit"  to increase awareness and promote Amtrak as a travel option for families traveling to reunions.  This promotional brochure provides tips on planning a family reunion, information on basic genealogy research, budgeting and planning travel on Amtrak.  The brochure is available from Amtrak.  Ask for brochure # 02-0314.

Also, much of the information contained in the brochure may be accessed via a special Amtrak.com microsite www.amtrakfamilyreunions.com.
