Our Partners
California Department of Transporation works closely with it's partners and other stakeholders in researching and implementing Tranportation System Performance Measures. Each group has a voice that must be heard throughout the process and we work hard at trying to balance this major undertaking. In the past, we have moved forward with input from two major groups:
Caltrans System Measures Working Group - Internal
The Caltrans project management team formed the System Measures Working Group - Internal - at the beginnning of fiscal year 2000. It was composed of a representative from each of the twelve Caltrans districts as well as one representative from major Caltrans headquarters divisions (which were, at that time, referred to as "Programs") such as Transportation Planning (TPP) and Traffic Operations.
Partners System Measures Working Group - External
The Caltrans project management team formed the System Measures Working Group - External - at the beginning of fiscal year 1999. It was composed of representatives from Metropolitan Planning Organizations, Rural Regional Transportation Planning Agencies, Councils of Government, Congestion Management Agencies, as well as several industry group representatives (e.g., Trucking Association, American Automobile Association, Sierra Club). Working group member agencies are listed below:
- Alameda County Congestion Management Association
- California Association of Council of Governments (CALCOG)
- California Transit Association
