I-10 National Freight Corridor Study

joined together for the National I-10 Freight Corridor Study. The study seeks to gather information about freight movement, inventory the physical condition of the interstate, identify operational problems for all motorists on I-10, and determine what improvements can be made to ease congestion and enhance safety.
Ports to Plains Corridor Study
Joint effort by four state Departments of Transportation (DOTs) including Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. The purpose was to create a Development and Management plan for the Ports to Plains Corridor, which outlines a proposed plan for the corridor and serves as an essential tool for securing federal funding for corridor development.
Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA)
Nonprofit association representing the highway safety offices of states, territories, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Indian Nation. GHSA provides leadership and representation for the states and territories to improve traffic safety, to influence national policy and to enhance program management. Its members are appointed by their Governors to administer federal and state highway safety funds and implement state highway safety plans. The 2007 GHSA Annual Meeting will focus on strategies and programs that have improved highway safety in other countries.
