| Abstract:
| This is a layer of Hospital Heliport currently permitted by the State of California, Department of Transportation (Caltrans), Division of Aeronautics. Details for each site are updated regularly after permit safety inspections of each site.
Purpose:
The dataset was created to allow a visual identification of Hospital Heliports in a geographic information system (GIS) or for other geographic applications.

| This Hospital Heliport point layer was created use Caltrans Division of Aeronautics’ Hospital Heliport "dataplates" by TSI GIS Services initially for Caltrans Earth applications. Some of hospital heliport locations had been adjusted using ESRI Bing Maps aerial imagery background.
