The Monthly Vehicle Miles of Travel (VMT) report for the California State Highway System gives the estimated vehicle miles driven and the resulting percentage changes in travel.

The links below are to this month's worksheets, and to charts illustrating percentage change and miles driven over a three year period.

January-August 2007 estimates were revised based on the final statewide vehicle miles of travel for year 2006 of 182.49 billion, and those revisions were used to produce September's report. Our original estimate was extremely close at 182.63 billion.

Final VMT was calculated from approximately 7,000 count sites, and the October through December 2007 reports will also be based on the final VMT for year 2006.
